Dear Fellow Servants,
We want to start the “New Year” right by reflecting on the blessings God has bestowed
upon us this past year, though our blessings are too numerous to count; we can’t help but ponder all He has done for us. We have been blessed beyond what we ever expected or deserve, from gasoline to grub; there is nothing we have gone without. He has given us health, kept us safe on and off the roads and kept our automobile running when we weren’t sure where the road was leading. He has given us sweet fellowship with friends both new and old from Maine to Michigan, North Dakota to New Mexico and many, many points in between. How can we do anything but thank and praise Him; “This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” Ps 118:23
When counting our blessings we never forget to thank God for those of you who faithfully, sacrificially support and pray for this ministry knowing that it is because of your love and heart of service to God that the people of Zambia, Africa will soon get to hear of God’s saving grace. They will be given a chance to know true joy and inner peace in a country that lacks hope. We are so thankful for the opportunity to represent you in taking the gospel of Christ to those who haven’t heard. God has used you to bless us and in so doing, you glorify Him!
Please continue to pray as we are on the last leg of deputation and though it seemed this time would never get here, there is so much to do to prepare for the “big move”. Packing and moving 10,000 miles isn’t something to enter into haphazardly, please pray we won’t forget any detail no matter how small it may seem.
We’re so excited to report that our support level is nearing 70%. We continue to pray for those who have verbally committed intentions of support, please remember the great need in Zambia; this is an opportunity to make a difference not only in their lives but in their eternity.
We continue to need funds for shipping and moving expenses to the tune of about $12,000.00, (that’s a little over a dollar a mile!) We still need to raise about $7500.00 for a vehicle; that amount with what we already have saved will put us into about a 1994-1995 4-wheel drive vehicle (a necessary tool if we are to get to “the bush” to do ministry.) When we get to Zambia we will need to purchase appliances, a washer & dryer will run $1500.00, a refrigerator approximately $1000.00 and a stove about $800.00. Please pray that these needed funds come in, we have already had a few donations toward these expenses and we’re so grateful to those of you who have contributed.
Please pray for our continued travels and for God to speak to the hearts of those who could support this ministry; the need is great, our God is greater!
